Refresher
- It is a 90 km classic-technique race on 28 Feb 2027: the first start is 06:50, and groups start every ten minutes.
- You have around 12 hours to finish, and each of the seven checkpoints has a cut-off time; if you arrive too late you must stop and bus transport to Mora is arranged.
- Classic technique only: skating can lead to disqualification, and fluorinated ski wax is banned.
- You can take part from the year you turn 17.
- Bus booking opens at the end of November 2026.
Practise before you go
- Follow a classic-ski training programme from the organiser's guides.
- Practise classic technique and waxing on long tracks before race day.
- Do a long ski of 30 km or more so the checkpoint time limits feel manageable.
Safety notes
- Cold: dress in layers and protect hands, feet and face.
- Contact checkpoint medical staff or an official if you need to stop.
- Do not ski through the checkpoint cut-off times.
